SWFL Graduate chapter Wins Fraternity Recruitment and outreach Award!

We are proud to announce that the SWFL Graduate Chapter has received the Fraternity's 2024 Recruitment and Outreach Award which recognizes the graduate chapter with the most active and diverse calendar of events engaging a wide variety of graduates with different interests.  We were also runner up for the 2024 Brightman Award for most outstanding chapter (less than 75 members).

pig dinner news

We are excited to announce that the next SWFL Graduate Chapter Pig Dinner will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 at the Olde Hickory Golf and Country Club in Ft Myers.  This event is open to ALL initiated Fijis and spouses/guests.  Please pass along an invitation to any brothers you may know who would be interested in attending.....and stay tuned for an upcoming announcement regarding our keynote speaker for that evening!

We were privileged last year to welcome Dionysus Protopapadakis,  Appalachian State '17, Senior Director  of Graduate Engagement for Phi Gamma Delta, as our 2025 Pig Dinner Keynote Speaker.  Dio's presentation entitled "The Impact of Not for College Days Alone" focused on how we can support the Fraternity's reputation and long-term viability.  In addition he assisted in awarding Gold Owls to SWFL Graduate Chapter members who had not previously received them from their undergraduate chapters.

Community involvement and outreach

We will, once again, partner with the Naples area Toys For Tots gift drive in conjunction this year's Holiday Party.   Last year we contributed 25 toys for distribution by the Naples Salvation Army as part of their efforts to provide holiday presents to underprivileged children region-wide.

As part of our continuing efforts to interface with community outreach organizations, we are thrilled to offer a "Lunch 'N Learn" with the Harry Chapin Food Bank, the largest organization of its kind in the region.  Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour their Naples warehouse and distribution facility.

SWFL Graduate Chapter announces new President

Charles (Chuck) Ferraro, Cincinnati '76 has assumed the position of SWFL Graduate Chapter President during this past year's Pig Dinner activities.  Rob Bicket, Illinois Wesleyan '67 handed over the role after 6 dedicated years as our President (thanks, Rob!).  Rob will continue to remain active in chapter leadership activities.  Randy Rowe, Bowling Green '85, also continues to serve as an  "At Large"" Cabinet Member.

SWFL Graduate chapter now has a facebook page

As part of our continuing efforts to enhance communications and reach out to Phi Gams in our area, we have recently added a Facebook page.  A special thanks to Brother Randy Rowe (Bowling Green '85) for setting this up and administrating content.

If you are or would like to be a Facebook user, please click on the Facebook symbol at the bottom of our Homepage, or search for FIJI Southwest Florida Graduate Chapter.
