We are proud to announce that the SWFL Graduate Chapter has received the Fraternity's 2024 Recruitment and Outreach Award which recognizes the graduate chapter with the most active and diverse calendar of events engaging a wide variety of graduates with different interests. We were also runner up for the 2024 Brightman Award for most outstanding chapter (less than 75 members).
This year's SWFL Graduate Chapter Norris Pig Dinner was held on February 27, 2026 at the Olde Hickory Golf and Country Club in Ft. Myers, Florida.
We were thrilled to have Tyler Davis (Oklahoma State '11), Executive Director of the Phi Gamma Delta Educational Foundation, as our 2026 Norris Pig Dinner Keynote Speaker! His inspirational words reminded us that Phi Gamma Delta "was not preparing us for college, but rather it was preparing us for everything that came afterward".
In addition Tyler assisted in awarding 2 Owls to: Randy Rowe--Silver (BGSU '85); and Tony Fackelmann--Gold (Cincinnati '76), honoring their 25 and 50 year initiation anniversaries respectively. Congratulations!
We anticipate that the next SWFL Graduate Chapter Pig Dinner will be held in February, 2027 (site and location TBD) This event will be open to ALL initiated Fijis and spouses/guests. Please pass along an invitation to any brothers you may know who would be interested in attending.
We, once again, partnered with the Naples area Toys For Tots gift drive in conjunction this year's Holiday Party. Last year we contributed 25 toys for distribution by the Naples Salvation Army as part of their efforts to provide holiday presents to underprivileged children region-wide.
As part of our continuing efforts to interface with community outreach organizations, we were thrilled to offer a "Lunch 'N Learn" with the Harry Chapin Food Bank, the largest organization of its kind in the region. Attendees also had the opportunity to tour their Naples warehouse and distribution facility.
